Oregon Trip - Whale Watching and Beverly Beach
We leftCape Lookout and headed towards Beverly Beach our next campsite. But along the way we made stops to enjoy the amazing scenery.

We stopped in Depot Bay to see if we could go out on the ocean with a whale watching tour but the timing didn't work out. It was a very windy day in Depot Bay and Laurie is hiding behind this box to get away from the fierce wind.
Just outside of Depot Bay we stopped at a part of the beach to see the "Devil's Punchbowl".

And then to make our day fantastic we spotted whales feeding out in the bay at the "Devil's Punchbowl". We stayed and watched them. It was great. So...even though we missed going out on the boat we were treated to watching whales feeding and spouting right in front of us.
Believe it or not this is a picture of a whale spout. It's about at 9:30 if you think of the picture as a clock. Good luck finding the spout.

Here's our yurt at Beverly Beach.
David sleeping in - peeking through the bed rails.

The yurts were very comfortable and roomy.

Isn't this cool - the sand is shifting and floating over the beach.
Everywhere we looked there was amazing scenery.
The beauty of the beach is breathtaking.
